Accountant:

- Prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger by monthly closing date
- Record receipts and disbursements and maintain associated schedules to ensure timely receipts and payments
- Process vendor invoices, resolve discrepancies with purchase orders, contracts, invoices, or payments and obtain credit and discounts where appropriate
- Submit payment files to bank for verification, issue stop-payments, reconcile bank accounts
- Process payroll together with HR staff
- Assist with balancing receivables between Billing-Centricity and Accounting-Sage 360 entries
- Coordinate monthly financial closing to ensure timely reporting
- Run and post monthly financials and submit data to CPA firm
- Oversee sales tax process and remit sales taxes to state
- Develop and maintain monthly financial analysis reports; Research and document changes and variances
- Oversee annual physical inventory of fixed assets to ensure compliance with lease agreements and accurate reporting by departments
- Maintain accounting and financial records
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Degree in accounting preferred, will consider years of experience
- Detailed oriented, proficient in Excel
- Effective communicator
- Critical thinking and ability to work independently
